Gotrek And Felix

I’m starting to feel comfortable enough with Procreate that I can start with full-blown illustrations. So here we are from the world of Warhammer Fantasy, Gotrek and Felix. (Cleaned up in Clip Studio Paint)

I confess I spent a little too much time overthinking Gotrek. I’ve gotten tired of the trend of fantasy Dwarves being just a little short and stocky to the point that the only way to distinguish them from humans is their beards and fashion sense. So, I based Gotrek’s physique on a lot of real dwarf wrestlers. Also, I made his crest smaller than it's normally represented, since the books say it is held up with animal fat and, unless dwarf hair is significantly different than human hair, one would have to dip their head in wood glue to get their hair to stand as high as most of the illustrations show. On a side note, since slayers dye their hair, I made a point of having Gotrek's roots beginning to show.
